English courses plus Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Edinburgh
One of the best language schools in the UK, Regent Language Training, organises the English World at Christmas winter programme in the magnificent, historic and visited Scottish city of Edinburgh.
Regent School has been around for more than 50 years and is one of the first to set high educational standards in teaching English to international students from the outset. Regent offers well-structured language courses for all levels of training. Group distribution occurs after testing.
The lessons teach grammar skills, learning new words, expressing your thoughts in English, working in groups and individually. Classes are held in groups of up to 12 people. Every week, each student sums up the results of their studies in a personal meeting with the teacher, which allows to quickly adjust the learning process to individual needs.
English World at Christmas will last 3 weeks starting December 15, 2019 and will include as many as 60 hours of English plus a cultural and excursion program.
During the Christmas season it is especially interesting to observe the real life of the British, who are happy to enter into a friendly conversation when meeting with foreigners. Especially for a mug of hot drink based on local cider it is easy to get additional language practice in an informal setting.
The cost of accommodation in the family starts from 225 pounds per week, and tuition from 320 pounds. Below is an approximate schedule of the Christmas cultural program outside the classes:

Tuesday 17 December visit the Royal Mile and the city centre
Wednesday 18 December – Christmas movie at school
Thursday 19 December – Christmas quiz
Friday 20 December – traditional Christmas service Carol
Monday 23 December – Christmas games and a traditional Scottish dinner
Tuesday 24 December – ice skating
25 and 26 December weekends. School closed
Friday 27 December – Torch procession to Calton Hill
